Quicksilver: Wearing a RUSH MOVING PICTURES shirt in this scene. So freaking awesome... And if you look up that album cover, it’s like the writers of this X-MEN scene are telling you not only does QS like great music, he “moves everything by himself in this picture”. Absolutely brilliant!

TBH, this scene looks cool in a vacuum, but the context kills it. Like the title says... Havok dies here. And we don't even really get to see it, we might barely realize it when Pietro gets everyone else at the blast site. One of the main characters from First Class just died a horrible, violent death, and we're too busy listening to "Sweet Dreams are made of these" and watching Pietro make speedster jokes to notice, or even care. Thus we get the emotional whiplash of "Oh. Havok died." And more likely, the audience doesn't CARE because of this scene.

while mystique is kinda like a fake hero and just didn't do something she would have everyone is like wow so cool, and then quicksilver saves all of them there just like "yeah thats normal"

But how did he even know anything was wrong and know to run in there? It doesn't matter how fast he is, he shouldn't have known about it until he either heard it or saw it. It would have taken several seconds for the sound to get to him, and the explosion was still only just starting and deeply inside the building when he started so he shouldn't have seen anything either.
